Such an Angry Kitty

We are still trying to figure out why Dante is such an angry kitty. Everyday now, he does his biteys. Even when unprovoked, he just runs right up to you and "teeth". I keep wondering if his previous owner just treated him like the pits and this is why he's like this. We know Dante's brother, and he's nice, so I can only assume that this is learned behavior. We still can't take the leash off him when he's in the same room as the other cats, because he just wants to really beat them up. He races after them and wants to pounce all over them. He's like a terror tornado! Poor Sebastian, can't stand to be near him because he is so mean. In this photo, he's giving me the stink eye. Dante, please calm down soon!

Dante, I wish you would settle down. You are not giving your fellow Siamese any good press you know! Think of me! Calm down. How do the other cats tolerate him? Or are they afraid of him now?

Do you think his biting is mean or is he just playing around? I bite a lot, but I am usually just wrestling and playing.

Dante I echo what my wife says above. I am a friendlyish little meezer but I understand the dark side. Dude though you need to be nice to your humans and accept that they are going to take good care of you. I know as meezers its hard to trust and change the way you think of things but please try.

Oh no. I was really hoping his hoohawectomy would calm him down some.

My husband's friend took Rascal's brother from the same litter. While Rascal is mean (she got her name for a reason) her brother was much worse. But the friend taught the cat to play rough and really encouraged it. I used to be afraid to go over there and have the cat just look at me. Because he would attack suddenly for no reason.

As he gets older, and with a lot of retraining efforts on your part, he should get better. Or he might need a lifetime of kitty prozac. I know it's very hard on you right now. You can't have him viciously attacking your 2 other cats all the time.

He sounds like he is as angry as our PooPoo. WE also can not understand why the anger. I hope Dante calms down soon! Or you may be like us 14 years later, still with an angry cat!

Oh, hi Dante! It seems we were missing something very important!

Maybe Dante just wants to have 1 fight and then he would stop? When C & P had their big fight I have separated them first, which didn't help, so I have let them fight. I was standing beside with the water bottle to prevent a tragedy, but the fight was over after 5 minutes and love was back...

We hope Dante settles down soon-it's no fun for anyone to have him on a leash!!! Maybe all it takes is time? How long has he been with you?
