Oh my goodness, were we excited when we received our Secret Paws package! As soon as I put the package on the floor, the cats raced over to investigate. They helped us open the box, and inside was a fantastic treat!
Thank you Max for an amazing package of goodies! Sebastian and Yaffa especially loved the furry mice. And the catnip. Boy, did they have fun! We loved that all the toys were mice! A whole family of different kinds of mice. It was really amazing. Yaffa also liked the tissue paper. She had fun playing with that also.
Thanks again Max! You really went all out, and was so creative with all the pretty tissue packaging and the well thought out mice toys.
The cats couldn't decide which toy to play with, since all looked like so much fun. They went from toy to toy to explore. We can't wait to participate in the next Secret Paws. We always have a bundle of fun doing the paws packages and sending out care packages to the bunnies!
Sebastian and Yaffa Kitty know full well that they are not allowed on the dining room table, however, they like to test us. Once in awhile I'll catch them, just hanging out, sitting there on the table top, acting as if they are doing nothing wrong. But, I usually give them one look, and they look back at me knowing that they've gotten away with something.
We are so excited here at Ilovecatnip, since we've surpassed the 10,000 visitor mark. We are so thrilled!
Sebastian and Yaffa are making sure that I box up the Secret Paws package correctly. They helped me pack the box, though there was one toy they almost wanted to keep. It's this burlap bag with catnip inside, which they love! The cats also helped me write a note to our secret paws friend. I was delayed with sending it this time, between the holidays and working so hard. But Yaffa and Sebastian did not let me forget. Oh, and they received their secret paws gift from Max the cat. Thanks Max! We will be posting pictures soon of the cool package that Max sent. They love the toys! Especially the furry ones.
I saw Yaffa kitty just lounging around one day on the bed, being a very sleepy nappy cat. She did not have a care in the world, but to lie on her back, hoping to get her tummy rubbed. It was in the middle of the afternoon, and I couldn't help but think, what a life. If only I could be a cat!
This morning as I was getting ready for work, I saw Sebastian Kitty sitting on top of the clothes hamper. He looked so cute, perched high above the floor. Now, if only I could teach him how to do laundry, wouldn't that be a great trick!
Little Sebastian Kitty is learning how to be a lap kitty. He likes to jump on Kyle's lap and take a nap. When we are sitting on the couch watching tv, he jumps on the lap to hang out with us. He especially likes it when his belly is rubbed too. He is such a sweet cat.
Since moving into the new apartment, Sebastian has found some interesting places to hang out. This is one of his new favorite spots. However, it's getting really cold and the radiator has been on, so I don't think he'll like sitting up there anymore.
Sebastian kitty is really enjoying the new apartment. There is a lot more space for him to run around, and play with mommy Yaffa. And a whole lot of other places to hide and explore. He especially likes the new window sill. It is by far one of his best places to take a nap, and to check out the pigeons of Brooklyn. He so wants to jump outside and squash one, but we don't let him since we live on the 3rd floor. He always gives us those cute sad eyes, come on, please let me out and "play" with those mean birds that poop all over our window sill. Check out this week's Carnival.
I feel terrible, I haven't been able to post any blog entries lately. The cats have been awfully mad at me. However, we've been busy moving into our new home and I haven't had much time, nor any access to Internet. It's a long story, but damn Verizon wireless is all I need to say. Here are a few pictures of Sebastian making himself at home on our makeshift bed. We haven't moved in all of our furniture yet, thus the mattress on the floor. Doesn't he look so cute?
I'm sad today, because I had a bunch of great photos to post of Yaffa and Sebastian, however, on Monday a mean and heartless person stole my cellphone that contained all the new pictures of the kittys. To say the least, I'm sad that the pictures are gone and so is the phone.
Nonetheless, here is an old photo of Yaffa being very playful one day. She isn't a playful cat, more of a chill cat, but once in awhile her friskiness comes out.
Sebastian sure is Yaffa's little twin. One day, I was home alone with the kitty's and I searched high and low for them and couldn't find them anywhere! Could it be true? Could they both be in the carrier!! Hee hee, they are so funny!
This is the first cat blog posting that doesn't feature one of our cats. But, I saw this in a magazine and absolutely loved it. Now, I wonder if I can teach Yaffa Cat and Sebastian Kitty to use this. That sure would be something! And for $29, what a bargain!
On a lazy Saturday afternoon, little Sebastian kitty has found a great place to take a cat nap. He just loves the window sill. It's a great warm place to sleep, with the sun beaming down on him. I love how he naps, with his hands tucked under his head. I have to stop myself from wanting to pick him up and cuddle him, he's soooo cute!
Lately, when we can't find Yaffa, we find her in her new hiding spot. She likes to crawl into the cat carrier and take a cozy nap. She usually hates this carrier, because it usually means she's off to the vet, or going in a car ride which she hates. But lately, she has found this spot very comforting. Sometimes we'll even catch Sebastian napping there too. Hopefully the next time we have to use the carrier, they won't find it so scary.
Sebastian sure finds some strange places to sit and relax. Look where we found him sitting one day. I guess he finds it comforting up there. This cat has so much character! He always puts a smile on my face.
We've been tagged by Beau Beau and Angie. This is our first time playing this game. Here are our 5 weird things / habits.
1. Sebastian loves water. And loves to drink directly from the sink. 2. Yaffa likes to groom the beans head. 3. Sebastian likes to chew all the fur off of toy mouseys. 4. Yaffa still grooms Sebastian as if he was still 1 month old. 5. Sebastian and Yaffa both like to look out the window. The swat the window when they see pigeons.
We tagged these friends: The Calico Girls Luna

The cats like to sit on our chairs. They love it. Look at Yaffa in the far back. They act like humans sometimes, more than cats. It's almost like they are saying, we would like to be served our dinner now. Visit the Carnival.
This photo of Sebastian was taken not too long ago. Sebastian isn't quite 1 yrs. old yet. He has 3 more months to go, but look how's he grown. He's mom's big cat now, I can barely call him kitten anymore. Although, in my eyes, he'll always be kitten to me.
Sebastian is truly his mom's kitten. He has learned a new trick from Yaffa Mommy Cat. Check this out, He now also licks Kyle's head Just like Yaffa Mommy Cat. They really do think Kyle is a cat! Now they both groom his fuzzy head.
Luna gave the kitties this great toy. Sebastian absolutely loves it. He already demolished one of them. He likes the fur on the mousy. He loves to swat, swat the toy. We love to suction cup the mousey to the fridge so he can swat away. However, he has figure out how to bite the mousey off the fridge. Sebastian, he's so smart!
Sebastian goes through phases of favorite places to sleep. The bath tub, my suitcase, on the bed, on the scratcher but here is little Sebastian kitty's new favorite place to nap. I love this photo. He looks absolutely a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!
