Vacuums are nothing when they aren't plugged in. Why do people insist upon plugging them in?

I think they are all the same like that till you turn it on and then scat.
We don't have such a thingy here but we can guess how scary it must be when it's plugged in.
We agree, they aren't scary until they start eating, and then it is every cat for themselves.

But just wait once that thing is plugged in and it starts sucking up all of your previous furr you have left around the house.
We managed to kill ours! the buns chomped the cord in half.
Yes, but it's a whole other story once it gets plugged in, for sure.

Hi NYC kitties and Mom! I just vacuumed this morning and all the kitties took off to the other room. They hate the loud sucking machine!

what i don't get is why mom has to ever turn the thing on at all. it needs to stay in its closet...in the dark and quiet...forever!
My bunnies chew thru the cords to keep the vacuum from working!
