Here are the photos I promised of the Jersey Shore, finally the pictures were available to download. The weather was pretty crummy the entire weekend, with lots of overcast, clouds, and a bit of rain. But we did get to go to the beach, and have fun despite the not so great weather. Here is a photo of the overcast day. What was nice about the weather was that the beach was so peaceful. The not-so-nice weather kept a lot of people away. And so we practically had the beach to ourselves. Our own private beach! The waves were pretty wicked and stormy and the water was frigid cold. About 62F but felt way colder with the sun not being out. We were only brave enough to go in the water 1/2 way. So cold. We did see something really cool, we saw a family of Dolphins swimming really close to the shore. About 5 dolphins, they were jumping out of the water, it was really amazing. I wanted to take photos, but I didn't have a camera with zoom lens. It was neat though.
On July 4th, we went to the beach and they had a huge fireworks display right on Lavallette beach. It was so amazing, I have never seen fireworks so close up before. It really was spectacular. They launched the fireworks over the water / waves. It was really pretty. Can you believe this is a photo from my cellphone? Neat.

Cool! Yeah the weather was rough this weekend but it did keep people away which is nice. We don't usually even venture Down the Shore because of all of the people even though its only an hour.
Kaze
That looks like a wonderful place to play. Dad and Mom like taking us to the lake when no one is about. It is a lot more fun for us. Mom just lets the leashes go.
Thanks for the Birthday wishes..

Well it's nice the beach was deserted, even if the weather wasn't wonderful. There's lots more weekends to go back and enjoy it again ;-)
Even though we live in Florida now, our Meowmy has great memories of Point Pleasant, Seaside and lots of fun weekends Down the Shore from when she lived in New Jersey.
