I finally downloaded the photos from my birthday. Here are some of the Coney Island pictures I took. I always get a little nostalgic whenever I visit Coney Island since I remember coming here as a little kid. There are lots of changes happening here, there is a developer called Thor properties who is changing the boardwalk area into Luxury condos and a new amusement park. It's very sad, because part of the charm of Coney Island are the scary weird rides. I road the Cyclone for the first time in 25 years. OMG, it is as scary as I remember it when I was 9! It was so much fun though, we rode it twice! We also got some goodies over at Nathans. Their lemonade is so tasty! YUM.
my beans love scary rides. we're sorry Coney Island is getting all changed. Mommy almost cried when one of her favorite rides that came from the Coney here and moved to Kings Island was taken down last year. why can't developers see that nostalgia is priceless?
My mommie loves places like that. There was one here in Chicago that she used to go to all the time as a kid, but now it's a strip mall. She totally knows how you feel.
Nice photos. Quite nostalgic indeed. I'm from New York so I know Coney Island. I was quite fond of the aquarium growing up. Later on, I would notice just how "far away" Coney Island was, even taking the subway from Brooklyn, let alone coming from our family home in Westchester...
Dennis says he will miss Coney Island as it is...one of his humans got hurt on the cyclone when the safety bar opened during the ride. (not hurt bad, but there was a little blood and a bruise.) that ride still ain't safe!

I'm gonna be in NYC for the first time next week. Don't think I'll have time to make it to Coney Island though. Looks like a fun place.

Oh, we think we'll pass on the cyclone. We like to climb and fly but not quite that high or fast.
