My New Friend

I was outside working on the garden today and had a visitor. I don't know if this is someone's outdoor cat in the neighborhood or a stray cat.

I don't think the kitty is a stray because she was really friendly. She came right up to me and let me pet her.

In case she was a stray, I decided to try to give the kitty some cat food. She sniffed it, but she didn't eat any. She wasn't interested. I did see her try to chase down some birds though.

She sat on the grass for awhile and hung around while I gardened. She was very relaxed.

After a little while, she walked away into the neighbors yard. I hope she comes back for a visit. I am hoping she is someone's cat, I would hate to think she's a stray...

Mom would feel the same way. She worries lots about animals that seem to belong nowhere!

What a cute new furiend! Maybe it's a good sign that it was so friendly and not hungry. Hopefully, that means she has a home! Of course, our furiend "Spunky" has a home, but eats dinner on our porch every night.

Given the fact that she was so friendly and wasn't hungry, we bet she has a home already! We hope she'll visit again sometime!

I bet if she were a stray she would have eaten! Perhaps she was just a visitor checking you out!

How fun - you just displayed a typical (and lovely) human quirk: offering food to a visitor, even when they aren't hungry. Humans can be very gracious hosts. The kitty was probably just stopping by to say hello. Being neighborly.

She is a sweet new friend. If she wasn't hungry, hopefully she isn't a stray.

Probably just out hunting and exploring for a while.

As friendly and healthy looking as she is, she's surely to be somebodies baby!
