We're in Big Trouble

So, this weekend we noticed that the automatic Littermaid was not working. See photo above, which is our littermaid box. We thought at first it was because there was litter stuck in the tracks. So we cleaned it out, removed all the litter, plugged it back in, and.... IT IS BROKEN! Panic started to creep in because the Littermaid is the best invention known to man, as far as we are concerned. With 2 Kitties, it's nice to have a little help with cleaning / scooping the litter like the way the automatic Littermaid does. If you haven't witnessed this in person, see a video here of how it works. I'll have to start saving money to invest in a new one. :(

Yum, Treats

Sebastian was a very lucky kitty today. I was busy cleaning the house, and he was "helping" me. When I was removing the cat hair on the couch, he would sit on the couch pillows and say, can I help you mom? Hehe, he's such a helpful kitty. So I gave him some treats. Here he is after I gave him some Temptation treats. You can't see the treat because it's in his mouth. YUM.

A Little Cuddle Time

The other day, I was getting ready to leave for work and I spied the cats had jumped onto the bed and nestled themselves in the nook between Kyle's legs. Kyle and I work different shifts, he works nights and I work days, so the kitties get lots of snuggle time with both of us. I love how cute Yaffa looks in the top photo with her arm stretched out like that. It's so adorable.

Flower Cat

This weekend, I bought flowers for Easter, and at the flower place, we saw a cute little kitty. She was staring out the window as doggies were walking by. She wasn't scared of them at all. I think she lives in the store. She is like a watch kitty, instead of a watch dog.

Lounging on Pillows

What is better than lounging on comfy pillows and enjoying the sun? Yaffa loves to sit on the couch and the soft cushions. It's a great place for a nap. Life is good!

Lazy Sunday

Just came back from a day of Easter festivities, and found the cats lounging. Enjoying the sun, the comfy couch and the lazy Sunday. Wishing you all a happy Easter!

Happy Spring!

Diva Kitty and the Fluffies sent us a nice e-card to wish us a Happy Spring. How nice it was to get an unexpected greeting card on this "New Spring" day! They have some nice flower photos on their blog today. http://divakitty.wordpress.com/ Which makes me think about spring. Oh I wish flowers would spring up around our neck of the woods. Although, It feels spring like out in New York City today, it's very sunny and 47 degrees. Which is warm for us! Wishing everyone a happy spring.

Murphy's Law

Yesterday I blogged about how Yaffa Kitty does not like to cuddle. She wanted to prove me wrong. Last night, when Kyle came home, she jumped right on his lap as we were sitting on the couch. See mom, she said, I do like to cuddle!! (She's more cuddly with Dad Kyle then she is with me, Mom.

Thanks Daisy for the blogroll advice. I just added it yesterday, and started moving my Kitty's friends links over. We are so happy you told us about this, because it is SO much easier to add our friends' links now!! Yipee!!

My Couch Friend

Yaffa kitty isn't much of a cuddle kitty since she was a street cat when we found her. But once in awhile she likes to sit on the couch with me and "cuddle" or hang out. Here she is sitting beside me on the couch watching TV with me. Everyday, little Yaffa gets more at ease with being cuddled and held. It's a long road though. She still fiddles when you pick her up, at most it usually lasts 10 seconds before she squirms. I'm still working on it though. I know she'll one day let me hug her longer.

Does any cat bloggers who use Blogger know how to implement the "new post" feature on Kitty friend links? I would love to implement this but don't know how to.

My Towels

One of Sebastian's favorite thing to do lately is to jump on my bath towels after I come out of the shower in the morning. I am usually in a mad rush in the morning, so I throw the bath towels and robe on the bed as I get dressed for work. When I turn around to find clothes to wear in the closet, Sebastian decides this is the best time to make his move. He wastes no time getting comfortable in the pile of soft fluffy towels! I especially love this close up photo of him. How cute is he!!

My hiding spot

This is Yaffa's new hiding spot, although it is not much of a hiding spot since it's completely see through. She seems to love hiding under the fish tank for some reason. Sebastian doesn't like it under there but he enjoys sitting next to her and tapping his paw to touch her.

It's a Pony!

Kyle's mom got a fantastic present for Christmas. A Pony! I finally got around to posting the photo of the pony to our blog. The pony's name is Grace and she is so cute. Look at her great hair. We are so excited, we are visiting them in May.

Spring is Near

This past Saturday we forwarded the clock an hour, and almost immediately it started to feel like spring! On Sunday, the sun was shining and it was getting warmer out. We even opened the windows and moved a chair close to the window to allow the cats to look outside the window at the chirping birds. We have a screen in the window though, since we live on the 3rd floor. But the cats could get a good view of the spring like weather! Sorry for the dark photo, the sun was shining brightly!

Cold, cold, go away

All of last week, I was plagued with flu like symptoms. Being sick has been the worst! I still have remnants of a cold, but I'm finally feeling better so I can blog again. Here is a photo of Sebastian hanging out on the bed with me. Doesn't he look like he's saying, "get writing already mom!".

Sitting Pretty on a Sunny Sunday

It's been a couple of days since I last posted to the blog. I feel terrible about it. However, I haven't been feeling well, been sick with a cold these last couple of days, fever, runny nose, headache, sore throat. Yuk! I'm starting to feel a little better, and wanted to share these photos that I took on my camera phone this past Sunday. The sun was beaming into the living room window, and both kitties were enjoying the sun, by sitting on top of the couch ledge. Yaffa was sitting there first, and Sebastian being the copy cat that he is, jumped up on the couch to join his mommy.
