Now that we finally have a backyard, one of the things I've always wanted to do is to compost!! It's funny that something like this gets me so happy and excited, but the idea that I can play my little part in helping the environment and creating less waste for landfills really makes my day! Check out our new composter!! It's so cool, you put the scraps in, and once in awhile you shake it up to mix everything together. I can't wait until spring to see the compost we created!

We have one of those too! It is the male's arena to use it!
Great job, just watch you don't put any meat scraps in there. They encourage the bad sort of bacteria.
I discovered this recently.
That looks easier than a compost pile that we had to turn with a pitch fork.
Does dog doodoo count? Acuz the mom has a pile of it in the yard she just lets sit dere till it melts away ...

That is the coolest composter we've ever seen! Where ever did you find it? We can't wait to see all the cool stuff you grow in your great composted soil.
I do think the first thing you should plant is a row of fresh catnip plants....
It is fun having a yard to watch isn't it? Mommy calls it my kitty reality TV. Maybe she can add a bird feeder to bring even more yummy birds, um I mean pretty birds into your yard. I love mine!

Loved your post. I'm all for protecting/saving the environment and of course rescues. Composting is such a simple way to make a difference, plus you benefit from it too :)
