We're still doing work in the attic. Currently, we are pulling up the old floor boards so that we can eventually insulate in between the floor beams. This takes a lot of work and a lot of banging noise, the cats don't like that much.
Our house was built in 1901, and these boards are 109 years old! All these old floor boards are being re-used not as floors but as.....
FURNITURE!! Daddy bean has been working so hard on this project, he carefully takes the old floor boards, cut them, sand them and made them into this tool bench! He said, every tool bench needs a good peg board to hold all his tools. That's exactly what he did.
The basement is his new happy place. LOL

Great idea! That bench looks wonderful!
From floorboards into a workbench, that is a very green thing to do. Bravo! Wonderful job on the workspace too.
I have to send Mr. G over to your Daddy, so that he can see how a nice workshop looks like !
The nice thing about making furniture from 100+ year old wood is that wood might be pre-tree farm wood and have grown slower, giving it a tighter grain which is very prized for furniture buffs.
wowee, your daddeh sure is creative...
What a very nice tool bench you now have.
great re-use of old lumber! He did a wonderful job
Wow, that looks like a lot of work ahead of you. We don't like banging either.

WAY TO BE GREEN Dad!!!
Wow what a lot of creative work going on. Mom likes old houses. She skimmed down to try and find a picture of your house, but no luck. She found a lot of pretty flowers and good food. She really liked the fence you built around the garden. The old wood really made a beautiful bench.
