When we are lounging on the couch, the cats always want to sit on top of us! This is their usual spot. The cats sit on the couch everyday so even if we are on the couch, that doesn't stop them.

Of course it doesn't stop them. You are lucky they allow you to sit there at all. Cats take priority.
Lounging on the humans is great! Especially when it's cold outside!
diego and thompson are pretty good about taking turns sitting on top of me when i'm on the couch. theo doesn't much care if there are other kitties on my chest, he usually just plops himself in the middle of things...
