Beyond Delicious

Last week, I went over a good friend's house for dinner. We made this amazing meal of filet mignon, red skin mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. We saw the recipe of filet mignon on the food network website. The recipe uses this sauce that is so delicious. The sauce is made with shitake mushrooms, brandy or wine, butter and cream. AMAZING!!! The filet mignon was so tender, it practically melted in your mouth.

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words and messages about my "robbery" ordeal. I feel really privileged to be part of such a great and kind blog community. It's been over a week, and the bank hasn't reimbursed any of the money yet. They say it can take at least 10 days. It's very frustrating, but I'm trying to stay positive about it. I have filed a police report about my stolen wallet, but I don't know if they will be able to catch the thief. I'm still quite sad over the whole ordeal, mostly because my faith in people has been shattered a little. I feel so nervous about carrying around a purse now. I don't want to get robbed again. It's hard when you live in a big city like New York, since there are so many people everywhere. I just have to be extra careful from now on.

Your meal looks delicious. I love a good steak.

How stressful still having to worry about the money. I am sure the people who stole your wallet will get some bad karma back, to repay them for the unkind thing they did.

We hope your mom is able to feel safe again soon.

We are sorry the bank still hasn't reimbursed your money. Hopefully it won't be much longer! And hopefully the person who did this will be caught and punished!

I sure hope the bank gets your money to you soon! We had our car stolen several years ago and we were so jumpy for weeks after. We got it back, but had to pay for a new steering column. I told my husband about your wallet getting taken and he said, it is easy to blame the economy, but some people are just happy to steal as a way of life. :(
Your dinner looks very good though. I really like asparagus. I should go to the Food Networks site and get some new recipes!
Sending you lots of good thoughts!

I'm surprised your bank hasn't taken care of this yet. What bank do you use, just so I know not to ever have an account there?
