Grandma and grandpa gave us this awesome cat carrier for Christmas. We keep it in the living room and all the cats love to sit inside. Sebastian however likes to sit on top of it.
Sebastian and Yaffa aren't the only ones that loves boxes. This is Yaffa showing her love of boxes too. It may also be because this box held cat food and treats. Boxes are great, they are more fun than tunnels, condos, and all those expensive things we buy for us lovely kitties.
I bought the cats a new scratcher for Christmas. This scratcher is from CVS and it comes with catnip, and they love love love it. All the cats are so in love with it. Especially Sebastian. Sebastian likes to lie on it and not let the other cats near it. My scratcher!!
Dante knows that he's not allowed on top of the microwave in the kitchen, but he jumps up there anyway. He gives me this cute look like, "Am I doing anything wrong?" Dante loves to jump up to the highest point. He'd be on top of cupboards, the fridge, anything. We have to learn to keep things clear of stuff, because when he jumps up there, things go flying.
These are old photos of Yaffa taken a few months back. I am finally getting around to posting them. I love the way she looks in these photos. Isn't she so Pretty sitting on the tiny ottoman? The cats don't sit on this often because we beans keep it cluttered usually with stuff, but this day, it happened to be clear and she took that chance to take a nap on top of it.
I love this photo of Dante acting silly! He absolutely loves this blue tent thing and he runs inside and plays "peek a boo" with us. Here he is stinking his head out upside down. I just laugh, because its too cute!! He hides all his mouseys in there and little balls. Sometimes he runs really fast and jumps out the other end. Silly kitty.
Congratulations President Obama!! Welcome to the presidency!!
Our neighbor and really good friend Ruth gave the cats a fevver toy. This toy is sooo cool. It's attached to a stick and when you wave the stick back and forth, the feathers look like it is a bird flying. The cats really love it. They chase it around and bite It. Ruth gave us two feather attachments. They have already destroyed both of them. Fevvers rock!!
Have a good Martin Luther King holiday to all. On CNN, they are playing the whole entire MLK "I Have a Dream" speech. If you haven't seen it before it's truly amazing.
This is such an interesting story about Sammy the ginger cat who used to live in a post office in Notasulga, Alabama. Apparently, one of the residents of the town complained about the cat, and so he was kicked out.
Since we see store kittys all the time where we live, seeing a cat inside any commercial building is pretty normal. We don't understand why anyone would complain about such a sweet cute kitty!! Doesn't that person know that Sammy works there? Sheesh!
Watch this amazing story below!!
Some of the residents have teamed together and setup a post box for “Sammy”. If you want to send your support for Sammy, you can send it to the below address:
Sebastian and Yaffa sleep next to each other all the time. I love the angle of the second photo, you can really see her feet hanging out from the side of the chair. I just love her pink pads on her paw. They are really soft, but she hates us beans touching her feet. But you have to admit, they look cute snuggling and napping together. How sweet is that?
A flock of birds interrupted a US Airways flight that took off from La Guardia Airport in Queens NY. The pilots successfully landed the plane onto the Hudson River and everyone on the plane, passengers and crew were rescued off the plane. Ferry boats rushed onto the scene and started rescuing people floating in the river.
What an amazing story, how the heroic pilots successfully landed the plane on the water. And thank goodness for the amazing ferry boats, rescue divers and first responder crews who rushed to the scene.
Living in Brooklyn, we fly out of La Guardia airport pretty often and live only 15 minutes from that airport. We are so happy to hear that there were no major injuries and that everyone got off the plane safely.
We got this very awesome ice cream maker as a wedding present. Of all the things we received, this is definitely our favorite. So far, we've only used it 3 times, however the first time didn't count because we messed it up and didn't follow directions carefully. By the 2nd time, we really got it right. Here we made Kahlua ice cream. Oh my, was it yummy!! I highly recommend the Cuisinart ice cream maker for anyone who's ever wanted to splurge on something special.
The nice beans and catsZoolatry made us this nice picture for us. It's our first picture with Dante together with Yaffa and Sebastian. It's so great! Thank you so much for the awesome pictures, we love it.
Thank you Maggy and Zoey and The Zoolatry Human, Ann!
For a bitey cat, Dante sure is adorable when he is napping. It's been a slow change, Dante is getting a little better. We think he bites us less. But he is still very aggressive. He still can't be in the same room as the other cats. Whenever he is, he runs after them and bites them hard and the other cats start to yell and cry. It's heartbreaking. I really wish he can learn to be nice to the others. They just want to be his friend.
We won our first contest ever from Uncle Mo's Purry Logic book giveaway. We were so excited and are finally getting around to posting the photos. The book is fantastic. And the toys are so much fun. Dante loves the furry toys, he has put his bitey on it. And already destroyed two of them. He loves anything with fevvers.
The cats have been wondering why I am have been so happy lately. It's because of my new favorite toy I told them. Us beans are allowed toys too, I told them. Except, this toy, you are not allowed to play with. Especially you Dante. :)
It's been pretty cold here lately, hovering around 25F. Frigid. Now we are hearing a winter storm is coming our way. Ugh.
The cats are so smart. They decided today to sit next to the heater, and even funnier, the green thing they are sitting on is my bathrobe. I had placed the bathrobe on my bed, as I was getting ready this morning, and they dragged it on the floor and decided to nap on it instead of napping on the cold floor. How smart are they? I was angry at first that they threw my clean robe on the floor, but got over it, when I realized that they were sooo smart. How funny they are!
Here is a picture of Dante testing out a cool new toy that he got from Auntie and Uncle! It holds 2 batteries and when you turn it on, it spins in a circle. Oh how excited he got when he saw that in action! And Dante just love, love, love feathers!!
Yipee for Christmas!
We read that Jasper, Josie, Huggy Bear and Maggie has the same toy!! How cool is that? They play nice though, our cats don't. Our cats don't like to share. :)
I wanted to post some yummy photos of our fantastic feast on New Year's Eve. We went to this amazing mexican place called Mexican Radio. I had the Taco combination (picture 2) and my niece had the spicy beef burrito (picture 1). Oh my, was it good. Picture 3 is the yummy margarita I had. It was soooo good, I had 2!
Sebastian and Yaffa were hanging out on the bed being all cute and cuddly. What a photo op! The cats gave me the evil eye because they were not in the mood for being photographed. Hahaha, look at their faces! Talk about stink eye!
A few days before Christmas, my friend Ruth and I stopped by the local fruit market to pick up some food items for her Christmas party. We saw something that just stopped us in our tracks. The store kitty was sitting on the scale. Hahahahahaha! Check out how much the kitty weighs! I wonder how much Kittys cost per pound? This one is priceless.
