I came across this remarkable video today. A story about a 10-year-old who just graduated college and became a veterinarian. Talk about a child prodigy. That is just amazing!
I don't usually post anything not related to our cats, Yaffa and Sebastian, however, a friend of mine showed me this video on You Tube, and I had to post it here for anyone who has not seen it. I admire a woman who rescue cats, being that we rescued Yaffa off the street. But I can't imagine having so many in one little apartment. All I can say is WOW.
Yesterday, I found the cats cuddling with each other, in their usual cute ways. It's so adorable how they comfort each other when it is chilly out. It's like a ball of cats.
When the mid-afternoon sun starts to set, the rays come into our living room window. Yaffa takes advantage of this and sits on top of the couch to catch the rays. I love how she knows all the best spots in the house to stay warm.
It's been wicked cold lately, with temperatures dropping down to 30F, though with the wind feels like it's 10 degrees. The cats however know the best place to stay warm and snuggly.
Sebastian and I like to sit on the couch and watch tv together. Although, he loves to hog the remote control. Sorry this photo is blurry, but if you look closely, see how his arm is squarely planted on top of the remote. As if he's guarding it. This is him forcing me to watch National Geographic.
Sebastian and Yaffa got some really great toys from their aunties and uncles this Christmas. Check out the one they got from Uncle Joe and Aunt May. Its this really neat toy with a furry mouse on the top, and inside there are two balls that go around and around in a circle. It is hours of endless fun! If only Christmas could be every day! Yaffa really enjoys the toy. She keeps thinking she can catch the little ball. Oh silly Yaffa.
Ever since we took down the Christmas tree, the cats has noticed something is missing. The cats loved to sit under the tree. The smell and the pine needles were irresistable. But we had to throw out the tree, because it was a fire hazard, all dry and brittle. For the last 3 days, Sebastian has been sitting in the spot where the tree once was. Poor little kitty. If they still sold Christmas trees after the holidays, we would certainly get another one for him.
During the holidays when we were wrapping presents, we were interrupted by very curious cats. Here's a good shot of Sebastian lounging on a box we were trying to wrap. Ever since Sebastian was a kitten, he's always had a fondness for boxes. Boxes are his friend.
We came back from Holiday to find that we had received our secret paws package. Above are pictures of us having fun opening the package. Thank you Sebastian, Felony, and Tsuki! We especially liked the handknit catnip mouse. We loved that idea and we are going to get mommy to knit us some as well. Mom has picked up knitting this winter, so it's a perfect solution for all that extra catnip we have in the cupboard. We also loved the treats. and other toys. Thank you again for a fun package, and happy new year.
