The cats have their usual favorite spots of where they like to take an afternoon nap. On the foot of the bed, on the red chair, on the chest near the bed, but lately, you can always find them on the dining room chairs! Both of them! They like to sleep right next to each other on the chairs. I love how their little feet hang out from the side. Adorable!!
Every weekend there is a farmer's market at our local park. Look how delicious these fruit look! I love summer, just for the fact that the fruit is so tasty and plentiful. I bought for the first time these donut peaches, which is super neat. And these miniature plums. YUM. We are so excited because pretty soon it will be time for apple picking!! We cannot wait!
I've been having such a crappy week that I forgot that on Wednesday, it was our 300 post. And today is our 301 post!! To celebrate, I wanted to post this old photo of our cute friend Suki. Isn't she a doll! She has the softest fur and the sweetest purr. And she is the most gentle cat. You can visit her at http://sukiandthecity.blogspot.com/
It's been a busy couple of days of work, leaving little time to blog. I did squeeze in some time to drop off a bookbag to Operation Backpack. It's this amazing backpack drive to donate backpack and school supplies to homeless and needy children. My friend Ruth, Suki's mom told us about it. This is the 2nd year we've participated and we get so excited putting together a bag for these school kids. Ruth and I shopped together too for our bookbags. Both of us were shopping for 3rd graders, her's was for a boy, mine was for a girl. Look how cute this pink bookbag is. Ruth got an orange one for her boy. We filled the bag with goodies, notebooks, filler paper, pencils, crayons, paint, and some cool folders. When I went to drop off the bookbag, I was so excited because there was a room filled with bookbags! How amazing! You can see my bag, its the one on the top on the table, because there was no more room in the boxes. There are thousands of children that need school supplies so its great to see that there are many volunteers in NY that have participated in this great cause!
The cats are so cute, they always sleep together like twins! Look how they are in the same exact sleeping position. I love it when I find the cats like this. It is so cute and funny!! They are so alike!
We saw this scuba kitty on You Tube and Loved it! So cute. Sebastian loves water, I think he would be into scuba diving.
Oh, I had a brush with celebrity yesterday. I went to see "Tell No One" a French thriller. And sitting in front of us was no other than Jeff Goldblum!!!! He is so tall in person! Very cool.
Side note: we are super sad that we were out on Friday and missed the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Everyone we know who saw it says it was the most amazing thing they have ever seen! I wonder if they will play it again or if it will be on the internet.
We just got this new red chair from Ikea. They opened a brand new Ikea just minutes from our house in Brooklyn. We are so excited that its so close by! Ikea is so much fun to go to, because it is Enormous!! Ever since we brought the chair home, the cats have claimed it as theirs. They even fight over it. Who can blame them, it is a really soft chair.
This past Friday, it was so warm out, we decided to stay in and play Scene It with our friends. Sebastian joined in on the game. He was so into it, he sat right next to us and wanted to play too! He kept on looking at us as if he was saying, isn't it my turn yet? It's too bad that he only wants to eat the game pieces rather than play with them. I think he's rather play Go Fish.
We were so impressed by all the good answers to the ice cream flavor mystery. The correct answer was, Pistachio and Banana! I've eaten a lot of soft serve in my time, but I've never had Pistachio or Banana soft serve prior to my birthday adventure in Coney Island. It was soooo good! The banana really tasted just like a yummy banana!
We didn't get any correct answers of both flavors, but we did get 1/2 correct answers from the following friends. We decided to give these furrys prizes anyway, since this was so much fun. Email us your addresses here, for us to send you your prize, firstname.lastname@example.org
